Ultracity Equinox
Underground Music Cafe | Minneapolis, MN | April 7th, 2023
One of 4kUltra’s latest independent concerts, Ultracity Equinox was their most memorable yet. Fans were welcomed into an ominously decorated venue with local clothing and art vendors lining the walls, and intense DJ sets that called them to the dance floor. A testament to the collective’s reputation, one fan remarked, “it was clear that every aspect of both the show as a whole and 4kUltra’s performance was calculated and purposeful.” What separates a 4kUltra show from others is the experiential elements; the fans and their experience are paramount. As long as every attendee leaves happy, the music could be far from their cup of tea and the show would still be a success.
Stand out from the rest.
When music lacks artistry beyond the songs themselves, the potential to build a community for fans is lost.
As a prelude to the show, 4kUltra released two world-building short films meant to communicate the theme of the upcoming concert through a medium that was more abstract and intriguing than music or social media posts could ever be.
